Eagles Going Even Greener, Adding Wind Power to Linc

According to Yahoo!, Jeffrey Lurie has implemented a plan where Lincoln Financial Field would be home to 80 wind turbines, 2,500 solar panels and something called a co-generation plant by next September.

Lurie: “[This is] a vital step towards energy independence.”

The Eagles have been “Going Green” since 2003, and this is probably the biggest environmental development for them in those seven years. Adding wind energy would allow them to sell some power back to the energy grid. Kudos to Jeff and the crew for leading the way towards making their stadium self-sufficient.
