Wondering what Pat Croce has been up to in the years following his relinquishing control of the 76ers? He’s been running a pirate museum in his adopted home, Key West.
↵Croce has spent years collecting pirate artifacts an memorabilia for his Pirate Soul Museum in Key West. But it seems his collection has outgrown the museum. So he’s decided to close the doors on Pirate Soul and open the 7,000 foot St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum in St. Augustine, Florida.
↵Croce said his fascination with pirates began when he watched the 1935 Errol Flynn film “Captain Blood.”
↵↵“It goes way back,†Croce said. “I remember falling in love. I remember sitting on the living room floor with my father [watching that movie]. It [Captain Blood] had such an impact on me and it never stopped.â€
