Big plays have been the name of the game so far as the Navy Midshipmen have broken out to a 17-0 lead in the 111th annual Army Navy game. After a FG to open the scoring Navy QB Ricky Dobbs hit John Howell for a 77 yard touchdown. They would hit again in the beginning of the second quarter and Dobbs would find Brandon Turner for a 32 yard TD.
If Army wants to stay alive in this one they need to get on the board before the end of the first half. To do that, it looks like they’re going to have to at least attempt the throw the ball. So far Army QB Trent Steelman is just 0-2. Army has ran the ball 12 times for just 25 yards.
Navy has an eight game winning streak over their Armed Forces rivals, in fact Army hasn’t even scored a TD against Navy since 2006.
