Army Navy Game: Army Breaks Four Year Touchdown Drought

Army fans went nuts in Lincoln Financial Field when Army QB Trent Steelman found Malcolm Brown for a five yard touchdown. It was the first time Army has gotten into the end zone versus Navy since a garbage time TD in 2006.

The Army opportunity came from a Navy mistake as RB Alexander Teich fumbled the ball deep in Navy territory. It gave the Black Knights a short field to work with and it took them six plays to go 23 yards for a huge TD to cut the Navy lead to 17-7.

As I write this, Army has just forced another Navy fumble and will once again start with good field position. It was Navy’s third fumble of the day. Could we be looking at a second Army TD in four years? Black Knights fans are going crazy in Lincoln Financial Field right now and it looks we’ve got ourselves a game in South Philadelphia.
