NCAA Basketball Rankings: Villanova Jumps Up, Temple Still Outside Top 25

The Villanova Wildcats crept up two spots to No. 10 in the latest AP top 25 poll. Nova was no doubt aided by Temple's upset win over Georgetown, who fell from No. 9 to No. 15 in this week's poll. Despite the Hoyas' fall the Big East are well represented in the top 10 with Connecticut at No. 4, Syracuse at No. 5, Pittsburgh at No. 8 and Nova at No. 10. Notre Dame, Louisville and the aforementioned Hoyas give the Big East seven teams total in the top 25

The win over Georgetown wasn't enough to get Temple back in the top 25, but it did put them back in the national consciousness. The Owls got 30 top 25 votes and they're in the top 25 in the RPI rankings.
