Phillies GM Ruben Amaro called Jimmy Rollins latest calf injury “a two-week thing,” adding, “I don’t see this going much longer than the DL stint.”
Of course, Amaro may not be the guy to trust when it comes to medical opinions….
“It was knocked out. He reinjured it,” Amaro said. “It was completely healed. I don’t know [if the two injuries] are interrelated, but I know it was completely resolved when he came back to play again.”
Really? It would be a hell of a coincidence if the right calf injured a few days after coming off the DL for the same right calf injury weren’t “interrelated.”
Rollins can come off the DL on June 6th.
