Rod Brind’Amour is retiring after 21 N.H.L. seasons to take an unspecified front-office job with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Brindy, as he was unfortunately known for a time in Philly(later he tried out “moose”), won a Stanley Cup in 2006 with Carolina. He might have been able to find another team in the NHL, but said “it didn’t feel right” looking for work outside of the Canes.
