NL Breaks The Streak, Wins Midsummer Classic

The NL pitching didn’t allow a single earned run. Brian McCann provided a big three-run double in the seventh inning and Marlon Byrd threw out David Ortiz from second on a heads up play in the bottom of the ninth as the National League finally won the Midsummer Classic for the first time in 13 years.

The winner of the NL Pennant will now have home field advantage in the World Series.

McCann was named the game’s MVP.
