The Union won their first international friendly tonight with a 1-0 result over the famous Glasgow Celtic football club. Sebastian Le Toux scored the games only goal in the 23rd minute when Eduardo Coudet, the Argentine on trial with the Union, sent him through on goal with a clinical pass from midfield. Le Toux rounded American born Celtic keeper Cervi for the game winning goal.
The Union overall controlled the play, but defender Toni Stahl was sent off after getting a second yellow card late on. Celtic then pressed for a late goal, even having one disallowed for offsides... but the Union held on for what is probably the young club's most famous win.
It was little more than a preseason warm up for Celtic, but it's a result to be proud of for the Union nonetheless.
