Philadelphia Union Take On Manchester United At Lincoln Financial Field

Tonight, the Union welcome arguably the biggest soccer team in the world to Lincoln Financial Field. Yes, Manchester United is so big that PPL Park simply couldn't hold them.

The Red Devils, as they're called, have won the English Premier League, which is widely regarded as the best in the world, an amazing 18 times and they've won the UEFA Champions League three times. Their home ground, Old Trafford, has been home to some of the greatest players in world football history. From more recent names like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, to guys like Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, George Best and of course David Beckham. Their manager, Sir Alex Ferguson is considered one of the greatest bosses of all time. They also were once home to current USA national team goalie Tim Howard.

Their current squad boasts players from countries like England, Wales, France, Holland, Brazil, Portugal, Bulgaria, South Korea, Ireland, & Scotland. This team is a true giant with a collection of some of the greatest players in the world. Even in a preseason friendly, they offer a tough and valuable test for the Union.

A bit of interesting trivia: Man United is owned by the Glazer family, who also own the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
