76ers Close Out Orlando Summer League With Loss

The Sixers finished their Orlando Summer league play with a blowout loss to the Jazz. Jrue Holiday and Mareese Speights took another night off while Evan Turner again failed to impress.

Turner did lead the team in scoring with 14 points and pulled down 6 boards, but turned the ball over 5 times and struggled on defense. Turners’ poor summer league is a disappointment but not a reason for panic. It’s not like this guy who was the best player in college basketball is suddenly over-matched by d-league level and future insurance salesman talent. He’s just got to focus on getting more fit, knocking the rust off, and acclimating to the way he’ll be asked to play in the pros.
