Kevin Kolb’s night was over after one quarter that saw both of his drives end in field goals. Kolb completed 6 of 11 passes for 95 yards and was satisfied with his preseason debut.
"It was good. Obviously, when you get down into the red zone you want to score points, but both drives were successful. We racked up some yards there and put six points on the board, then had a chance there with our third one. Overall, I thought it was good, but we’ve got to get better in the red zone."
He was asked what the offense was hoping to accomplish tonight.
"Just execute. That’s our number one thing. With the talent that we have, we feel like we can execute and be consistent, and I’m not even saying I was consistent. We feel like we can put up a lot of points. Like I said, there were some mistakes, but I thought it was a good start overall."
DeSean Jackson was happy with Kolb's debut as well
“I like how the momentum started in the huddle and then [Kolb] he delivered the play. We got out on the line of scrimmage, and we were ready to go. The energy is up there and the intensity is up there, and we are just starting something new and that’s the biggest thing that we’re doing right now and we just have to continue what we’re doing.”
