Forbes magazine has released its annual ranking of NFL franchises by value. The Eagles dropped to No. 7 after being leapfrogged by the Giants and Jets after those teams completed their new stadium.
↵There are a lot of factors that go into the valuation, but the largest if you look at the list is stadium ownership. Particularly newer stadium ownership.
↵Forbes values the Eagles at $1.1 billion. Jeff Lurie bought the team for $185 million in 1994. Not a bad return on his investment obviously.
↵The Cowboys, Redskins, and Patriots are three most valuable NFL franchises while the Vikings, Raiders, and Jaguars make up the bottom three.
