For some reason, this story about Nyjer Morgan throwing a ball at a Phillies fan seems to have slipped through the cracks. You'd think this would be a major story? You can bet that if the Phils fan had thrown the ball, we'd have gotten the full blown national "They threw snowballs at Santa!" treatment.
↵Morgan had been jawing with a particular Phillies fan throughout the game and at one point threw a ball at him which ended up hitting another fan in the head. Morgan claims he was just tossing a ball to the fans like players do all the time. Major League Baseball didn't buy it and suspended the Nationals outfielder 7 games.
↵Morgan is appealing the suspension.
