Former Owl Mark Tyndale Signs Overseas

German team with kick-ass name Telekom Bonn has signed Tyndale away from the D-League. He averaged 12 points on 53% shooting last season for the Iowa Energy, leading them to an appearance in the D-League championship.

He’s got the handles and slashing ability to be an NBA 2-guard and while his defense isn’t amazing, it’s better than some. What’s held him back has been his shooting. He’s developed better shot selection as his career has gone on, but without NBA range, he’s a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. Europe should serve him well but I hope he develops an outside game and comes back stateside.

Last season, Telekomm was filled with other NBA-almosts: Oregon’s Bryce Taylor, Marist’s Jared Jordan, former Piston Ronald Dupree, Vincent Yarbrough and Germany native Tim Ohlbrecht.
