After last night’s terrible 6-run outing in relief, Tigers leftover Nate Robertson has been DFA’d by the Phillies. Replacing the lefty on the 40-man and active roster will be 2005 first round pick Cesar Carrillo of the San Diego Padres.
↵A 26-year-old righty, Carrillo put up horrendous numbers at the major league level last season for the Pads. His inability to strike batters out has been his downfall as a pro, but as a former first rounder, it’s a low-risk, high return for the Phils. We’ll see when he gets his first action in the next few days.
