Sixers Sink Suns 105-95

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Thaddeus Young came off the bench to score a game-high 24 points while Elton Brand added 22 points and nine rebounds as Philadelphia ran past Phoenix, 105-95, at the Wells Fargo Center.

Evan Turner supplied 14 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a reserve role and Lou Williams contributed 14 points and six helpers for the Sixers, who produced 23 fast break points in their second straight win and fourth victory in their last six games.

"It was another good win against a very good Western Conference team," Sixers head coach Doug Collins said. "I thought our bench came in and was terrific."

Jrue Holiday chipped in with eight points, eight assists and a season-high six steals for the hosts, who matched a season-best with 12 thefts.

"They did a good job of swarming and being aggressive on the ball," Phoenix head coach Alvin Gentry. "We weren't able to handle that."

Jared Dudley came off the bench to produce 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Steve Nash added 17 points and nine assists for the Suns, who lost the last two games after claiming the first three on a five-game Eastern swing.

Phoenix raced out to a 13-6 lead before Philly came back to take its first lead at 20-19 on a Turner jumper. The hosts shot 54 percent and led 26-25 after the first 12 minutes.

Young's alley-oop dunk highlighted a 10-2 push that extended the hosts lead to 55-43 with just under three minutes remaining before the break.

The Sixers made 14-of-21 in the second quarter to finish the half shooting 60 percent in forging a 61-47 lead.

Holiday's fastbreak layup off his own steal increased the Sixers lead to 20 halfway through the third quarter. Philadelphia took an 87-70 edge into the final stanza.

The Sixers maintained between a 15 and 21-point fourth quarter lead until the visitors tried to make things interesting in the final 4:45.

Phoenix scored 11 straight to slice its deficit to 103-93 with 55 seconds to play before Williams dashed any hopes of an improbable comeback with a jumper with 32.8 ticks to go.
