Penn Vs. Marist: Quakers Top Red Foxes 84-71

The Penn Quakers defeated the Marist Red Foxes by a score of 84-71 on Friday night in The Palestra to move to 6-6 on the season. Marist falls to 5-7 with the loss. The Quakers, who led at halftime by two points, pulled away throughout the second half.

They were led by senior guard Tyler Bernardini's 30 points which included eight three-pointers. He finished the game with a 63 percent field goal percentage, making 10 of 16 shots. After Bernardini, the Quakers were led by senior guard Zach Rosen and freshman forward Henry Brooks' 13 points.

The Red Foxes were led by junior guard Devin Price, who scored 15 points, and freshman guard Isaiah Morton, who scored 11. None of the other three starters were able to break into double digit points, though. Their next leading scorer, R.J. Hall, a senior guard, came off the bench and scored 10 points. None of the five Quaker starters scored less than 10.

The Quakers take on the 7-4 Davidson Wildcats on the road on Thursday, December 29, and the Red Foxes host the 7-4 Columbia Lions on Wednesday, December 28.
