La Salle opened the game on a 13-3 run. Boston then made a couple of buckets but did not threaten the lead as the Explorers used another run to get the lead to 23-8. La Salle kept up the hot shooting performance for the rest of the half and lead this game comfortably at halftime 43-29. The Explorers made 6-12 thee-point attempts in the first half.
Tyreek Duren had 15 points on 6-8 shooting (3-3 from behind the arc) to lead the Explorers in scoring after one half. Ramon Galloway chipped in 11 points for La Salle in the first half. Jerrell Wright had eight points in the first half for La Salle. Former Explorer Darryl Partin led Boston with eight first half points on just 2-6 shooting. Malik Thomas has 7 points for Boston at the half.
