FCS Playoffs 2011 Round 2 Score-Results: Lehigh Edges Towson, 40-38, To Advance To Quarterfinals

Senior quarterback Chris Lum completed 36-fo-48 passes for 351 yards Saturday night to help Lehigh University defeat Towson University, 40-38, in a Football Championship Subdivision round-two game at Johnny Unitas Stadium. The Mountain Hawks (11-1) advance to play the 20-team tournament's No. 2-overall seed North Dakota State in the quarterfinals next weekend.

Junior defensive lineman Tom Bianchi helped Lehigh score its go-ahead score with 5:14 to go in regulation by sacking Towson quarterback Grant Enders for a safety, which came after Lehigh punter Tim Divers pinned Towson at its own eight-yard line.

The Mountain Hawks trailed 38-31 entering the fourth quarter, but used a one-yard rushing touchdown by Lum with 4:17 to play to tie the game at 38-38.

Lehigh junior wide receiver Ryan Spadola caught a game-best 13 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown, which helped give the Mountain Hawks an early 10-3 lead in the first quarter.
