St. Joe's hosts the streaking Boston University Terriers on Wednesday night. After losing their first four game, the Terriers have won their last four games to climb back to .500, including a win against their struggling ACC neighbor Boston College.
The Hawks are enjoying a goo start to the season as well, owning a winning record (5-3) and wins against local rival Drexel and local(-ish) rival Penn State. St. Joe's also took Iona, a mid-major darling of college basketball analysts this season, to double overtime.
Against the Terriers, St. Joe's will need to slow Darryl Partin, who leads BU with 23.9 points per game. D.J. Irving, who averages 13 points per game on nearly 50 percent shooting, could also be a problem for the Hawks.
Stay tuned to SB Nation Philly all season long for the latest news, scores and updates on St. Joe's and the rest of the local college hoopes scene.
