Mel Kiper has released his latest mock draft on the masses and raised some eyebrows by predicting that the Buffalo Bills will select Auburn QB Cam Newton with the 3rd overall pick. Rounding out the top 5 for Kiper is DT Nick Fairley heading to Carolina at #1, DE Da'Quan Bowers going #2 to the Broncos, the previously mentioned QB Cam Newton to the Bills, WR A.J. Green to the Bengals, and LB Von Miller to the Cardinals at #5.
↵As for his thoughts on the Eagles, nothing has changed from his first mock draft of the year. He once again has Philly taking Wisconsin OT Gabe Carimi. He said of Carimi,
↵"Here's a pick where value meets need. Philadelphia should look inside on both sides of the ball, because aside from secondary help, the Eagles have great pieces in place at offensive skill positions and linebacker. In Carimi they get a guy who loves to run block and will sustain his blocks into the second level. He plays with an edge and should develop as a pass-blocker. His film against some big-time prospects this past season shows a guy ready to contribute."
