Cole Hamels Takes The Hill As Phillies Face Yankees In Spring Training Opener

The NL East champion Phillies will face the New York Yankees in the official kickoff of Spring Training for both teams. The Grapefruit league action gets underway at 1:05 at George M. Steinbrenner field. The two teams will also play tommorrow at 1:05 at the Phillies' Florida home, Brighthouse Field.

Cole Hamels will get his first start of spring with Vance Worley, Ryan Feierabend, Brian Schlitter and Mike Zagurski also scheduled to pitch. Hamels will be opposed by 37 year old Bartolo Colon for the Yankees. The lineup from Phillies.com

Chase Utley will be held out of today's game with soreness in his legs, which the team attributes to some early workouts. Charlie Manuel has denied that Utley has any type of injury and that he's "otherwise fine." The Yankees will trot out their full regular lineup.
