After a very disappointing week that saw losses to Syracuse and St. John's, plus a loss to Notre Dame yesterday Villanova tumbled down the rankings to No. 19. Temple dropped out of the top 25 altogether, but did receive the most votes of non-top-25 teams making it the virtual No. 26.
Ohio State regained the top spot in the latest poll after the previous No. 1 Duke was upset by Virginia Tech. Kansas also had two big wins this week, but obviously voters were more impressed with the Buckeyes wins over Illinois and Indiana. Jimmer Fredette and his BYU team was also a big gainer jumping up four spots to No. 3 after their big win over San Diego State.
Utah State is the only new team in the top 25 this week sneaking in at No. 5. Here is the full AP top 25.
