Philadelphia Union At Houston Dynamo - Danny Califf Puts The Union Up 1-0

[EDIT] Former Philadelphia Union captain Danny Califf scored the team's first goal of the 2011 MLS season in the fifth minute of the game against the Houston Dynamo, in Houston, Texas.

Califf, who lost the captain's arm band to Colombian goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon, acquired during the offseason, prior to the match. On the right side of the field, towards the Dynamo's own 18, Union right back Sheanon Williams tossed one of his patented long balls into the 18. Union forward Sebastien Le Toux got a shot in but it rebounded off of the post, to Califf.

Somehow Califf found a way to avoid getting traded in the mess of players around him and kept the ball. Placing the ball almost at the bottom of the center of the goal, Califf scored a goal to put the Union up 1-0 on the Dynamo.

Last season the Dynamo and Union combined for 7 goals in two games.
