Tiger Woods is still struggling with his putter, but his issues this round have been setting birdies or par rather than bogeys as in previous rounds. Woods surged into a share of the lead with his birdie on 15. On that same hole he missed out on the chance to take the lead outright with having a four foot put for Eagles rim in and out.
The leader coming into the day, Rory McIlroy meanwhile has fallen apart. He is seven over par on the day after a triple bogey on ten. He’s now dropped five shots off the lead at -5 after coming into the day with a four shot lead. It has become almost uncomfortable to watch the 21 year old, especially on 12 where he missed two putts from with 4-5 feet. After that disaster at 12, his tee shot on 13 ended up in the water. McIlroy slumped over for a few moments after the shot, clearly completely out of sorts.
Currently, four players claim a share of the lead at 10-under. Tiger Woods, Adam Scott, Charl Schwartzel & Angel Cabrera.
