Third round play at the Masters began a little later today than in previous rounds, but the leaders won’t be teeing off until this afternoon. CBS begins it’s coverage at 3:30 pm, but a live stream from amen corner will be available on Masters.com starting at 11:45.
Rory McIlroy, currently leading the pack at 10-under will tee off with second place Jason Day (-8) in the final group at 2:45pm. Geoff Ogilvy and Alvaro Quiros, tied for fifth at -3 start at 2:25pm.
Tiger Woods will tee off with K.J. Choi, both tied for third at -7, will tee off at 2:35 Phil Mickelson starts at 12:55 pm.
Woods said that he likes where he stands after two rounds, "Well, I’m three back. I’m right where I need to be. I’ve closed the gap after yesterday’s round, and hopefully tomorrow I can piece together another good round, stay patient and plod my way along. "
He also expects the weather to play a factor as the weekend goes on.
“The forecast is supposed to get a little bit warmer. The ball is going to start flying probably a little bit. I saw the dots for tomorrow. There are some good pins out there tomorrow. You know, we’ll see what they do on the greens; see if they firm them up or not. I mean, Jesus, I think, this is, what, the lowest cut in Masters history, isn’t it? I mean, there’s so many guys with a chance to play themselves into the Tournament tomorrow. "
