Drexel Basketball Lands Strong Recruiting Class

ESPN's recruiting blog did a piece on mid-major steals on the east coast and singled out Drexel for a strong class, particularly in the recruiting of Damion Lee and Casey Carroll.

Drexel landed the star of their class earlier this month when Damion Lee (Owings Mill, Md./St. Thomas More), another product of the St. Thomas More School, committed to coach Bruiser Flint. This week, the Dragons capped the class with just the right fit in Carroll, a highly skilled face-up four-man who will be the perfect complement to the athleticism and length of Lee and Tavon Allen (New Haven, Conn./Worcester Academy) on the wing and the blue-collar mentality of Kazembe Abif (Elizabeth, N.J./Lawrenceville Scool) on the interior.

Damion Lee was a big get for Drexel because he was also considering LaSalle. The 6-4 swingman is an aggressive, drive to the basket type player who also could be an elite perimeter defender.
