University Of Maryland Reportedly Interested In Hiring Jay Wright

University Of Maryland's basketball coach Gary Williams retired unexpectedly yesterday afternoon, leaving one of the most attractive jobs in all of College Basketball vacant extremely late in the hiring process. Word is, that they have set their sights on a number of extremely high profile coaching candidates, including Villanova's Jay Wright. According to the bracket blog at the Washington Post, Wright would be pretty high on their wish-list.

Some of the other names on their wish-list are reportedly Notre Dame's Mike Brey, Arizona's Sean Miller, VCU's Shaka Smart and Butler's Brad Stevens. Some of the names on that list are more attainable than others, and we don't know yet exactly how serious each of them are about talking to Maryland.

We'll be keeping track of coach Wright's potential departure (even though it's incredibly early to even call it that) in this StoryStream.
