Phillies Host Braves For Three Game Weekend Set At Citizens Bank Park

Cliff Lee will look to get some revenge against the Braves when he takes the hill against Derek Lowe tonight at Citizens Bank Park. Lee had his worst game of the season last time out against the Braves giving up six runs on 10 hits in just 3 1/3 innings. Lee earned a hard luck no decision in his last appearance in which he went seven innings allowing just one run against the New York Mets. The Mets won 2-1 in 14 innings in a game that became somewhat famous for the scene at the ballpark when the crowd learned that Osama Bin Laden had been killed.

The Phillies did rebound in that series and outscored the Braves 13-2 over the next two games to take the series. The Phils will be looking for Lee to get them off to a better start in the series as it was announced that Roy Oswalt will miss his start tomorrow night with back soreness. Kyle Kendrick will get the ball in his place. Cole Hamels will start in the series finale.

Despite the fact that Kendrick will take the hill on Saturday, this weekend's series will feature two of the best pitching staffs in the National League. The Braves sport a league low 2.94 ERA, while the Phillies hold the third best mark at 3.03.

The Phillies come into the game as winners in six of their last seven, while the Braves have won five straight.
