Philadelphia Union Host Defending Champion Salt Lake Tonight At PPL Park

The top team in the East will face the defending MLS champs as the Philadelphia Union host Real Salt Lake tonight at PPL Park in a match set be aired nationally on Fox Soccer channel at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Union currently lead the Eastern Conference with 31 points, Salt Lake sites in fourth in a stacked Western Conference with 33 points. This will be the second meeting between these clubs after their 1-1 tie in Utah back in June. Danny Mwanga scored the Union goal in that fixture just four minutes after Conor Casey had given Real the lead.

Interestingly enough, both sides faced the New England Revolution in their previous match. The Union scored a dominant 3-0 victory, while RSL fought to a 1-1 draw. The Union are undefeated in their last five league matches, including two straight shutouts. Philadelphia boasts the second stingiest defense in MLS behind only.... RSL. The Union have conceded just 16 goals this year, while RSL has allowed only 12.
