Penn Vs. Columbia: Quakers Take On Lions In Ivy League Matchup

The Penn Quakers and Columbia Lions will face off tonight in the teams' first Ivy League Matchup of the season.

The 7-9 Penn Quakers will begin conference play tonight as they face the 11-5 Columbia Lions. The Quakers have had an up and down season, winning consecutive games only once. Their last time out they fell to the La Salle Explorers by a final score of 68-57.

After losing four straight to begin the season the Lions are on a tear, winning 11 of their last 12 games including all of their last four.

Both teams will be playing their first Ivy League game of the season and look to keep pace with the cream of the conference – 25th ranked Harvard and the Yale Bulldogs.

The Quakers are led by senior guard, Zack Rosen, who is averaging 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game. He's also been extremely efficient, shooting 47 percent from the field, 43 percent from three and 92 percent from the free throw line. Columbia is led by Brian Barbour at 14 points per game, but 37 percent shooting.
