No doubt you remember the story of the goon in a Flyers jersey who beat up a Rangers fan who was in line to get a cheesesteak at Geno’s following the Winter Classic? Our pals at Broad Street Hockey have led the charge in publicizing the video and trying to track down the guy responsible.

Finally, he’s been caught.

A Gloucester County man is facing charges for his alleged role in a violent fight that was caught on tape outside Geno’s Steaks following the NHL’s Winter Classic on January 2nd.

The man’s name is Dennis Veteri who, according to the story, “has a history of seven arrests that include aggravated assault and heroin possession.”

He’s been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, criminal conspiracy and reckless endangerment. Police are also said to be looking for two other men connected to the incident.

Honestly, the fewer of these dopes giving the great fans of this city a bad name the better.
