St. Joe's Vs. UMass Final Score: Hawks Lose 71-62

With today's loss against the Massachusetts Minutemen the St. Joe's Hawks fall to 12-6 on the season and 2-2 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Hawks have now lost three of their last five after reeling off five consecutive wins in December. The loss also drops the Hawks record on the road to 2-4.

Although the Hawks held the Minutemen to 38 percent shooting, the Hawks turned the ball over 17 times and made only six free throws. The Minutemen, on the other hand, despite shooting 38 percent, were able to convert 14 free throws, 11 three pointers, and only turned the ball over 10 times.

UMass' Chaz Williams led the game in scoring with 22. Ronald Roberts Jr. paced the Hawks with 16 points.

The Hawks next game is scheduled for January 18 on the road against the Xavier Musketeers.
