Drexel Vs Hofstra: Dragons Look For Fifth Straight Win Tonight

The Drexel Dragons look for their fifth straight win against the Hofstra Pride.

Two Colonial Athletic Association teams moving in opposite directions meet Wednesday night at the Mack Sports Complex.

The Drexel Dragons bring a four-game winning streak into the contest and will meet host Hofstra, losers of five consecutive affairs. The Pride have lost all six conference games to date, but the winless conference record understates how competitive the games have been: five of Hofstra's conference losses have been decided by a total of 19 points.

Drexel blitzed UNC Wilmington on Saturday, stretching a 14-point halftime lead into a 78-57 victory. Derrick Thomas led the Dragons with 19 points, Samme Givens pitched in 15 and Damion Lee added 14. The Dragons have used a balanced attack all season. Four players average between 10-13 points per game and Lee averages 8.5.

Mike Moore averages 20.4 points to lead Hofstra and teammate Nathaniel Lester contributes 14.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
