St Joes Vs Penn In Big 5 Matchup At The Palestra

St. Joe's looks to bounce back from two losses in a Big 5 matchup against Penn.

The St. Joe's Hawks look to snap a two-game losing streak when they visit crosstown rival Penn in a Big 5 matchup at the Palestra on Saturday night at 7 p.m.

St. Joe's lost consecutive road bouts against Massachusetts and Xavier this past week and has now lost three of four. The Hawks were without leading scorer Carl Jones (sprained ankle) during Wednesday's 68-55 loss at Xavier. In Jones' absence, three sophomores paced the team -- Langston Galloway and Ronald Roberts Jr. had 14 points apiece and Halil Kanacevic added 13 points and 14 rebounds in the losing cause.

Penn has won two straight to open its Ivy League schedule, including a 64-52 win against Cornell last Saturday paced by 18 points each from Zack Rosen and Tyler Bernardini. Rosen leads the Quakers with 18.4 points per game and Bernardini chips in 15.2.
