Drexel Vs. Northeastern Final Score: Dragons Win 71-53

The Drexel Dragons defeated the the Northeastern Huskies in an Colonial Conference game by a final score of 71-53 today, improving their record to 14-5 on the season. Drexel is now 6-2 in the CAA Conference, trailing conference-leading George Mason by only a game. Drexel has now won six consecutive games and 12 of their past 13.

Drexel shot an impressive 60 percent from the floor, hit nine threes and 20 free throws. They also out-rebounded the Huskies 26 to 19. And in possibly the most shocking stat of the evening, Drexel held Northeastern to four total assists, compared to 13 turnovers. Four of Drexel's starters scored at least 11 points, paced by 20 from Derrick Thomas.

The Dragons next game is scheduled for Monday, January 23 against the William & Mary Tribe in the Kaplan Arena. The Tribe are 4-16 on the season and 2-6 in conference play.
