Flyers Vs. Bruins Final Score: Philadelphia Falls, 6-5, In Shootout

The Philadelphia Flyers lost to the Boston Bruins, 6-5, in a shootout today from the Wells Fargo Center.

The game was tied 5-5 after regulation. The Flyers had a 5-4 lead but conceded a goal at the 10:38 mark of the third period. After the first period, things were not looking good for the Flyers, which trailed 3-1. Philadelphia responded with a 3-0 second period to take the lead into the third frame.

After all the scoring through regulation, neither team could find the net in overtime. In the shootout for Philadelphia, Matt Read missed his shot, Claude Giroux scored and Tim Thomas saved Wayne Simmonds' shot. The Bruins scored on both of their attempts (David Krejci and Tyler Seguin).

Scott Hartnell led the Flyers with a natural hat trick, which he scored in the second period. He now has 25 goals on the season. Maxime Talbot scored the other two Flyers goals. The Bruins had goals from Patrice Bergeron, Tyler Seguin, Milan Lucic, David Krejci, and Gregory Campbell.
