Philadelphia 76ers Vs New Jersey Nets: Game Time, TV Schedule And More

Philadelphia has gotten off to a surprising and inspiring start. It should continue Wednesday night when the Sixers take on New Jersey.

The Philadelphia 76ers will be taking on the New Jersey Nets at the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday night.

The Sixers opened up their seven game home-stand by beating a hapless Washington team 103-83 on Monday. Now they welcome the Nets into town, who aren't much better than the aforementioned Wizards.

New Jersey is just 5-13 and looks like a team with no punch. Deron Williams is the only Nets player who strikes any fear into an opponent. Considering Philadelphia ranks second in the NBA defensively only giving up 88 points per game, that's bad news for Avery Johnson.

On the flip side, Doug Collins has his team looking like a serious contender to play deep into the Eastern Conference playoffs. The 76ers are 13-5 and playing a great brand of team basketball with such a balanced and athletic attack. No one player stands out above the rest which makes the group so difficult to guard.

The rest of the Atlantic Division is really battling to get back to respectability while Philadelphia continues to lap the field. With games against Charlotte and Detroit coming up after tonight, that lead could balloon.

The game can be seen on Comcast at 7:00 p.m. ET.
