La Salle Vs George Washington: Explorers Look To Keep Pace In Atlantic 10

La Salle looks for its 13th straight home win Wednesday night against the George Washington Colonials.

The Atlantic 10 conference standings moderately resemble the beginning of a marathon, with seven teams heaped together within one game at the top of the conference, all searching for running room.

La Salle looks to keep pace Wednesday night when the Explorers host George Washington at 7 p.m. at Gola Arena. The Explorers carry a 12-game home winning streak into the meeting and have won all 10 games at Gola Arena this season.

La Salle beat Rhode Island on Saturday, 80-66, to end a two-game skid. Sophomore Tyreek Duren scored 21 points, senior Earl Pettis added 19, freshman Jerrell Wright contributed 17 points and eight rebounds, and the Explorers used a strong second half to break a halftime tie and run away from Rhode Island.

George Washington has won its last two outings, but the Colonials are winless in their last four trips on the road.
