The Philadelphia Flyers failed to score a goal in during Tuesday's shootout period, giving the Winnipeg Jets a 2-1 victory. The Jets have won six straight in Philadelphia, four of them from their days as the Atlanta Thrashers.
The Flyers took a 1-0 lead on a powerplay late in the first period. Brayden Schenn hammered away at a puck that seemingly got lost under Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec, until it reappeared across the goal line. The 1-0 lead did not last long, with Chris Thorburn finding the back of the net for the Jets just 2:06 into the second period.
Winnipeg's Bryan Little scored the only goal between both teams in the shootout period. Ilya Bryzgalov turned back 23 of 24 shots faced on the night. Pavelec made 27 saves against 28 shots on goal by the Flyers.
