Taking a page out of the 1986 movie Hoosiers the Indiana Hoosiers have made a living this season on taking down the Goliaths of men's college basketball. On Sunday, the Penn St. Nittany Lions will try to do the same, as they host No. 12 Indiana in a Big Ten Conference contest (noon on Big Ten Network) at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, PA.
The Nittany Lions (9-7, 1-2 Big Ten) have yet to earn a top 25 victories this season, while the Hoosiers (14-1, 2-1) have knocked off three ranked programs, including former No. 1-ranked Kentucky Wildcats and No. 2 Ohio St. Buckeyes. On Thursday, the Hoosiers defeated No. 16 Michigan Wolverines, 73-71,
However, all of Indiana's big victories have come at home and on Sunday Penn State will try to earn its second straight league contest.
On Thursday, sophomore forward Billy Oliver netted a collegiate-best 21 points to help the Nittany Lions down the Purdue Boilermakers. Currently, Penn State is 8-3 at home.
