Behind junior guard Jordan Hulls' game-best 28 points and 16 3-pointers, the No. 12 Indiana Hoosiers downed host Penn St. Nittany Lions, 88-82, in a Big Ten Conference game the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, PA. Hulls made seven 3s for the Hoosiers (15-1, 3-1 Big Ten), who extended their current winning streak to three game, all in league play. Meanwhile, the Nittany Lions (9-8, 1-3) are still searching for their first top 25 victory of the season.
Trailing 42-37 at the half, Penn State closed to within 84-82 with 1:22 remaining. However, Indiana's senior guard Matt Roth nailed two free throws and the Nittany Lions missed a last-second 3-pointer to cement the loss.
Junior guard Tim Frazier tallied 12 of his team-best 21 points in the first half for Penn State, which also featured a 20-point performance from sophomore guard Jermaine Marshall.
