Villanova Vs. DePaul Final Score: Wildcats Ease Past Blue Demons, 87-71

Behind 21 points form junior guard Maalik Wayns and 20 from junior guard Dominic Cheek Sunday the Villanova Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak, as they beat the DePaul Blue Deams, 87-71, in a Big East Conference game at The Pavilion.

Junior forward Mouphtaou Yarou added 14 and freshman forward JayVaughn Pinkston 13 for the Wildcats (8-8, 1-3), who had lost their first three league games for the first time in 30 years. 'Nova led 48-36 at the half thanks to solid shooting (63.3-percent).

Sophomores Brandon Young and Cleveland Melvin led the Blue Demons (10-5, 1-2) in scoring, as they netted 22 and 19, respectively.

The Villanova basketball schedule now features the Wildcats hosting the No. 1-ranked team in the country, Syracuse Orange (17-0, 3-0), Wednesday (7 p.m. on ESPN2).
