After leaving last Saturday's game against the South Florida Bulls with an ankle injury, Temple running back Matt Brown is "right on course" on the road to returning to game action against UConn, according to Owls coach Steve Addazio.
The Temple coach told Comcast Sportsnet Philly that the veteran running back was improving each day since injuring his ankle, and that Brown's history likely indicated that he would be ready for game time on Saturday.
"His history has been that he's ready to roll," Addazio told CSN Philly. "That's his history. But you never know."
With Brown out, Temple running back Montel Harris rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns in the Owls' 37-28 victory.
Before injuring his ankle, Brown collected 59 yards on 12 carries and 26 yards receiving against the Bulls. For the season, Brown has amassed 261 yards and two touchdowns, his best game coming in the Owls' season opener against Villanova, during which he collected 145 yards and a touchdown.
