Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid has already made one major change this season, firing defensive coordinator Juan Castillo, but Reid won't make a change at quarterback, deciding to stick with Michael Vick, according to Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com.
Vicks' status as the starter quarterback came into question following a loose endorsement from Reid in which he said "as i sit here today" when asked if Vick was still the starting quarterback. While some outside the locker room questioned whether Vick would be the starter following the bye week, the players never had much doubt as Mosher noted.
"I'm not sure anybody in the locker room was wondering that," running back LeSean McCoy said. "We pretty much know Mike is the guy. Mike is our quarterback. Mike is our leader."
While his teammates never doubted his status, Vick also remained confident his his role with the team and his ability.
"Quite frankly, I know what I can do when I'm out there. I know what has to happen when I'm out there on the football field. That's just my approach now -- to go out and get the job done and we'll see what happens."
Turnovers have been one of the biggest problems for Vick and the Eagles offense this season. According to Mosher, Vick and Reid sat down Monday and exchanged ideas of ways to get the offense going. Philadelphia will attempt to get back on track when they host the Falcons on Sunday.
