The Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions, surging midway through the season despite their postseason ineligibility, will face off in a Saturday Big Ten showdown at Beaver Stadium.

The Nittany Lions have reeled off five straight wins after dropping their first two contests of the year. Penn State's streak was extended last weekend with a 38-14 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa. Quarterback Matt McGloin has passed for nearly 1,800 yards and 14 touchdowns while helping Penn State to a 5-2 record on the year.

Ohio State comes in undefeated and ranked in the top 10 in the AP Poll, the only of the three polls the Buckeyes are eligible for. Despite a rough tackle that forced quarterback Braxton Miller to leave the Buckeyes' game with the Purdue Boilermakers and visit the hospital, Miller is expected to play.
