Eagles vs. Redskins injury report: Michael Vick, Jason Avant out for Sunday's game

The Philadelphia Eagles will head into Washington for a NFC East clash without starting quarterback Michael Vick or wide receiver Jason Avant

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to salvage their season starting on Sunday when they visit the Washington Redskins for a NFC East division clash, but Andy Reid's team will be without starting quarterback Michael Vick or wide receiver Jason Avant.

Vick did not practice once this entire week and is out for Sunday's game because of a concussion the quarterback suffered last week against the Dallas Cowboys. Vick isn't the only key Eagles player that will be sidelined on Sunday, as wide receiver Jason Avant (hamstring) will also be joining him.

Philadelphia will also be without backup running back Chris Polk (toe) and wide receiver Mardy Gilyar (hamstring). Neither of the two participated in practice once this week, even on a limited basis.

The Redskins, who will be opposing the Eagles on Sunday, have injury concerns of their own. Prized off-season acquisition Pierre Garcon (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game as is safety Brandon Meriweather (knee). The two were limited participants in practice this week.
