The college football year has just a couple of weeks left to determine which schools will claim their conference crowns. The Big East has been the weakest BCS conference this season, although that will not stop the league winner to receive a BCS bowl bid.
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights sit atop the Big East with a perfect 5-0 record. They're 9-1 overall, and their lone loss came to Kent State. If they win their final two games, they win the conference championship. This is easier said than done, though; a road trip to Pittsburgh (4-6) and then a huge home showdown with No. 20 Louisville (9-1, 4-1) will likely determine which teams gets the BCS nod.
Syracuse sits in third place with a 4-2 mark against conference foes. Cincinnati is one-half game back at 3-2. The Temple Owls are 2-4, while Connecticut, Pittsburgh and South Florida all have just one win and four losses.
Here is a complete look at the conference standings as of Monday, Nov. 19.
