College Football 2012 schedule: Temple, Penn State end seasons with conference showdowns

Temple and Penn State will see their seasons come to a close on the holiday weekend.

The Penn State Nittany Lions close out their season Saturday against the Wisconsin Badgers in one of the marquee matchups of the holiday weekend.

The meeting with the Badgers brings Penn State's up-and-down season to an end, with a chance to finish with eight victories and six wins in the conference despite being ineligible for the postseason.

In Big East action, the Temple Owls will get the college football action started on Friday with an early 11 a.m. meeting with the Syracuse Orange, closing out their season aiming for a fifth win on the year.
